Overview
The Key Context Indicators (KCI) Decision Support Monitoring Panel is a tool for monitoring Portugal’s socio-economic development in key areas of government action and across public policies.
This tool provides access to a set of diagnostic and performance indicators for the country in terms of economic, social and environmental development and, whenever possible, in comparison with the European Union as a whole.
It also provides a monitoring resource area, allowing access to complementary sources and various monitoring products.
Objectives
- Support the design of national strategic planning instruments;
- Monitor and follow the country’s progress in key areas of government action;
- Understand the trajectory of the Portuguese reality in comparison to the European reality.
- Index the key context indicators with the official indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
Duration
The project started in 2022 and is ongoing. The panel of key context indicators is reviewed annually and the information provided in the monitoring tool developed as part of the project is updated regularly.
